The national partners played a very important role in the research and implementation of activities in countries or in a basin at the level of end-users and/or at the level of service providers.

A number of organisations took part in the MUS learning alliances. The number of organisations per service area and country could be 10 or more. The learning alliance partners had an important role in actual upscaling at the district and national levels, and suggested additional MUS activities.

The main funders of CPWF-MUS were:

  • The Challenge Program on Water and Food (CPWF);
  • Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Government of France.

In addition, the global lead partners provided matching contributions, as did most national partners.
