Group

The MUS group works for the improved delivery of multiple use water services at the household level to better support poverty reduction, through original research and documentation, promoting implementation and learning, and facilitated information sharing and evidence-based advocacy across sectors.

FolderAbout the MUS Group

A thematic group known as PRODWAT (productive uses of water at the household level) was established in 2003 to gain better recognition of the many productive uses of domestic water supplies and their role in contributing to the reduction of poverty. In 2006, reflecting a broader focus on improving the delivery of multiple-use water services at the household level by agencies traditionally associated with both the domestic and irrigation (productive) water sectors, the group's name was changed to the Multiple Use water Services (MUS) Group. The current focus of the Group moves beyond to the homestead level, and also looks at multiple-use services at other levels, such as the community or the irrigation-system.

FolderFunding

Most of the MUS Group's activities are funded by the (core) members themselves. They dedicate their own time to meetings and activities of the Group. Besides, they cover their own travel and other costs to Group's meetings. However, the Group also receives support for its secretariat and some of the activities of the Group. This folder contains information about these sources of funding.
