GWP document raises issue of multiple-use supply systems
Like many international policy and resource documents, the Global Water Partnership’s publications on Integrated Water Resources Management have given lots of space to productive uses (like field-scale irrigation) and domestic uses, but not much to the overlaps between these sectors. Interestingly therefore, a recent report raised the following question as an issue on reducing poverty: how to expand access to water for productive uses – for example through groundwater development, affordable small-scale technologies, and multiple-use supply systems?
