The PRODWAT cartoon: April 2006

This illustration of the design for an innovative multiple use water supply system that was recently constructed in the hills of Nepal. It included two storage tanks linked to a spring source, the first for domestic water and the second, only filled after domestic demands are met, for small-scale irrigation. There are two separate piped networks to supply houses and small irrigated plots where efficient drip irrigation techniques are utilised.
