Name
Kitchen gardens: irrigation for poorer families
Caption

Kitchen gardens enable a different group of people to grow irrigated crops. Small plots of vegetables in rural or urban areas allow families to produce nutritious food and supplement their diet. Water may come from domestic sources, roofwater harvesting, or recycled wastewater from the household.
