multiple uses of water at the WARFSA (Water Research Fund for Southern Africa) conference, Lilongwe, Malawi

The University of Malawi will host the 7th Annual WaterNet/WARFSA/GWP-SA Symposium from 1-3 November 2006 focusing on “mainstreaming IWRM in the Development Process”. The purpose of the joint symposia is to provide a platform for researchers, policymakers and other stakeholders to meet and exchange ideas around IWRM. The MUS project will host a side session at this symposium, including presentations of new research in Zimbabwe and South Africa, and a discussion of the scope for scaling up multiple uses of water in Southern Africa.
